Hello Bob, I haven’t been feeling well lately, I’ve been feeling really tired and my skin is getting cold and pale, I’ve got a headache and my mouth is really dry. I think I might have caught something nasty. I have scheduled a doctor’s appointment for next Tuesday; I hope that it isn’t too bad. It feels a lot worse than your average fever so I don’t know. What is your opinion on the whole thing?

Hello again bob, I had my doctor’s appointment two days ago, he had to take a blood test and he just called a few hours ago, apparently I have something called Iron-deficiency anemia. He told me that it’s a disease caused by not getting enough iron in my diet. Apparently it’s a condition in which the body does not have enough healthy red blood cells. There are many types of anemia. Iron deficiency anemia is a decrease in the number of red cells in the blood caused by too little iron. That is pretty much word for word what I was told. He told me I should write it down. Apparently soon I’m going to start feeling weaker and lose my appetite. I’m researching the disease on the internet right now. I will send you another message in a few hours, talk to you soon.

Hey bob, I researched the disease and found out that it’s going to mess up my respiration; I also found that it’s non-contagious so I can go outside at least. According to the internet all I need to do is add iron to my diet, but, if it gets bad I will need a blood transfusion which is like when they suck out the blood I have and replace it with the blood from an organ donor. I have to eat lots of Fish, Whole grain bread, Meats, eggs and legumes otherwise I will need the blood transfusion. Have you got any advice for me?

Hello bob I came out from my blood transfusion yesterday, It was really weird there were these tubes plugged into my arms, I think that’s how they sucked out the blood but I’ve been feeling a bit better already. The doctor said I may have to do that a few more times and that they would call and tell me about that but for now I’m trying to enjoy the first time I’ve had energy in two weeks.

Hey bob I had my last transfusion I’m going to need yesterday and I feel great. The doctor says that if that got worse they might not have been able to fix it and I might have required intensive care. Sure glad this whole anemia thing is over. Send me a message back.
